The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa Oiler’s goaltender Shane Madolora has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending December 8, 2013.

Reid and Schumacher are the sixth and seventh players respectively called up to the AHL in the 2013-14 season. Rimmer, a 21 year old rookie, went 1-0-1 with a 2.65 goals against average and a .930 save percentage in three games with the Barons after being recalled last Monday. Prior to his recall, The 6′ 1″, 170-pound Edmonton native had gone 4-3-2 with a 3.17 goals against average and a .894 save percentage in nine games with the Mallards. Continue reading »

1.) Late Game Heroics- There were plenty of late game fireworks in the CHL this past weekend with eight of the 12 games between Friday and Sunday decided by one goal.
