Courtesy of: centralhockeyleague.com – The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Brampton Beast forward Mike MacIsaac has been suspended one (1) game as a result of his actions in Friday’s game versus Quad City.
MacIsaac’s suspension is a result of a Charging Major penalty for running into the Mallards goaltender (MacIsaac also received a Game Misconduct). The play was viewed to be careless, avoidable and dangerous. Continue reading »
The Quad-City Mallards have shown signs this season that they can be a physical and skilled hockey team.
Saturday night was not a good example.

By about the midway point of the third period, it was apparent that the Thunder’s missed scoring opportunities weren’t an offshoot of bad luck but the consequences of facing a hot goalie.
Breakaways turned away, rebounds rebuffed, slap shots slapped down —all the work of Tulsa’s Shane Madolora. Peppering him with so many shots wasn’t the approach the Thunder wanted, anyway, and all it got the team was a 4-1 defeat at Intrust Bank Arena. Read more at: kansas.com
The Quad City Mallards had played so well recently – without a loss in regulation their last seven games – and so well on home ice for over a month, their last loss at the iWireless Center coming on Nov. 2.
